Meet the mother-daughter duo behind Hippy Chick Laperle, a rustic apparel and accessories line designed to keep you warm.  Made with Pendleton® fabric/blankets and premium wools and cotton, every item is handmade with love in Alberta.

Cindy, the creator of Hippy Chick Laperle and the mom, is married with 2 daughters. Living in rural Alberta, she has over 40 years of sewing experience and thousands of completed projects, with many mentors.

Cindy suffers from Raynaud’s syndrome which causes her fingers/hands to go cold and numb due to limited blood flow. In 2017, her inspiration to keep herself warm led to this passion project to help others keep warm – in style of course! Thus Hippy Chick Laperle was created.

Hippy Chick Laperle started with mittens but has since expanded to cowls, toques and most recently sweaters.

“I love hearing from customers how warm they are wearing Hippy Chick Laperle apparel. It really is something I’m proud of.” – Cindy

AIMEE, the daughter, on the right joined Hippy Chick Laperle in 2020 helping in tradeshows. Due to the growth of the business over the last couple of years. Aimee has mastered The Hippy Chick cowl and toques and is also tech support.

” I am so proud of my mom and the business she has created with her passion for sewing. Blessed is an understatement, that she is mentoring me and passing down her many talents.” -Aimee
