Ashley Somerville is a Calgary-based painter and illustrator. She graduated from the Alberta University of the Arts with a Bachelor of Design in 2020.

“My artistic interests vary widely in both themes and medium, but one thing I am continually trying to do is tell stories through my work. I mainly work in a realistic style to bring my subjects to life and explore character and personality through the use of light, colour and shape.
